Personal Profile
For the last 8 years I have design and developed websites taking into consideration their usability,
accessibility, and cross browser compatibility all to a W3 standard. I am fluent in CSS3, HTML5 and
JQuery, plus I am more than experienced with integrating my designs with many applications such as
WordPress and other PHP based CMS.
I work well with other developers, making sure my code structure is always grid based and commented for

On a more personal note, I prefer to lead a happy mature way of life and I understand the values necessary
to conduct myself in a professional manner.

Recent Position(s)
Freelancing
July 2008 – Present
I have worked for a number of companies on a freelance basis, some of these roles involved working on award winning projects.
This includes work for : Sony BMG, Virgin, Universal, Jaguar, Next, Sky, St Modwen, Betfair, Severn Trent Water, Lewis’s and HESimm.
I am currently freelancing for a range of companies including STAN Communications in Manchester UK. We offer online recruitment marketing solutions for large companies such as Adobe, Hoover and The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Bit10
Production Designer
June 2006 – July 2008
At bit10 I worked as one of only two designers. My main job was the full design of customer websites and any in-house graphic design projects.
Customers have ranged from Severn Trent Water, The Derbyshire Building Society, Next, Virgin and Sony BMG ( now known as Universal. )
Each site design consists of Information Architecture, Wireframing, Usability and Accessibility.
Although design was my main role within the company, I devoted alot of my time to the markup of non-database driven websites with CSS and templated others. I am fully trained to build websites for use with Contribute and have trained each client how to use Adobe Contribute as part of a small workshop.
I often work overtime to complete projects for deadline. In addition I recently started an after hours basic flash workshop for the children at local school: Small Heath.

Trader Media Group
Dealer Website Designer
March 2005- July 2005
This Job involved the making of new standard/premium package websites and also the administration of all dealer websites.
Most Packages are websites of up to 6 pages made from a combination of Flash, HTML and database driven CSS. These packages were given to premium customers and many websites were simply duplicates of the last.
I quickly left Trader Media group due to the restrictions and frustration building these simple duplicated template sites posed.
Hardly any design knowledge was needed for this role and the already marked up css templates produced errors, So where not to a w3 standard yet were still sold.
I haven’t presented any of these sites in my portfolio but can produce examples within interview if desired.

Clara.net bought out Vianetworks at the start of 2005. Clara.net also offered a level of service which allowed me to help the customers update and maintain their websites and web pages.

May 2003 – Nov 2003
During my time at college where I was training to become a car designer I was lucky enough to land a part time job with Ford Cars as a website administrator and general content maintainer.
